Welcome to our Little League family! We're a passionate group of over 40 volunteers who come together to make sure our kids have the best experience on the field. Whether it's organizing games, managing the league, or planning fun events, we've got a spot for everyone who wants to pitch in. Our board meetings are more like a get-together with friends—filled with good food, good laughs, and a shared love for the game and organization. No matter how much time you can give, there's a place for you to make a difference.
Types of Positions
Without getting into each position available, it's better to list the different “types” of positions that make up the board. There are generally three (3) types of positions:
Baseball / Operations - These are the positions that handle the daily operations of the actual playing of baseball. Division Reps, Umpire Coordinator, Rules, Coaching / Clinics, Equipment, Fields and Baseball Operations. You have a good knack and/or experience about the game of baseball, coaching and or managing leagues.
Administrative / Organizational - These are the positions that run the league from an administrative and operational standpoint such as Website / Registration, Marketing & Comms, Secretary, Treasurer and the like. While having baseball experience is helpful, it’s definitely not required.
Events / Committees - these positions typically focus on a particular activity or event such as the Opening Day Event, Yearbook Coordinator, 4th of July Parade Coordinator, Pictures / Picture Day. Many times it’s just one event or activity and that’s it. Though don’t worry, you’re still on the board, get to partake in all of the fun, and are a valuable part of the team.
What is the Commitment / Schedule?
The overall commitment will depend on your position. Everyone is asked to attend our monthly board meetings which typically last between 90-120min. And they’re not your typical “Board Meeting” - they’re actually fun! Sometimes catered by one of our sponsors, lots of members bring food, adult beverages and definitely lots of laughs.
Outside of the monthly meetings it depends on your position. Some require help throughout the entire season or even year (such as the Marketing & Communications Director who is putting together this very campaign), while some require hours of work over a couple of weeks or months leading up to a single event.
Outside of your particular position, we ask all board members to assist at our big events such as Opening and Closing Days. But at the end of the day, we’re all volunteers so it’s whatever you can put into the organization. And regardless of your commitment everyone is “involved” in one form or another, in person or remotely, and everyone definitely makes a difference! We wouldn’t be here without you.
